In the Bible, people ate healthy, natural foods; including fats! Eating fat doesn’t make you fat! Did you know that? Of course, fried foods are not the best idea, but 85 percent of excess fat and cholesterol come from eating white flour and sugars.
So, can you eat fatty foods? Yes, but (you knew there was a “but” in there, didn’t you?) the fats that are the best for you are those found in fish, flax seeds, walnuts, olive oil, coconut oil, butter (yes, I said butter), and eggs. Go figure! The fats that are the worst for you often come in combination with those white flours and sugars; namely hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats.
Joel 2:23-24
Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before. The threshing floors will be filled with grain; The vats will overflow with new wine and oil.
